Hello and welcome to Reeforest Adventure Tours. We would like to introduce ourselves and our products to you and your Company. Reeforest Adventure Tours is owned and operated by Col and Jenny Adamson and has been providing quality service to the Mackay region since 1994. Over the years, we have implemented day tours of the Mackay region, such as our world famous 'Platypus and Rainforest Eco Safari,' as well as holiday packages to and from the area.
In addition to these tours we have arranged the transport and partner needs of conferences including Local Government, Landcare and other smaller conventions. We have provided the transport and tours for docked international Cruise liners such as 'The World' and 'Norwegian Cruise Lines' various German and American cruise ships and American Navy Ships. In other words we have all the know how and experience of moving people in and around the Mackay area.
We have working relationships with many and varied business i.e. QR Travel Train, Mackay Transit coaches, Bus It Queensland (from whom we hire most of our coaches 85 to choose from with seating arrangements from 8 to 56 seat) to name just a few.With your upcoming conference
or corporate arrangements we believe our services would be of value to you and

Introducing some of our existing all inclusive programs
- Rainforest and Platypus Eco Safari takes you into Australia's biggest rainforest National Park, Eungella. Here you may spot native animals such as platypus, monitor lace lizards, York kingfishers, kookaburra, whompoo pigeons while on your guided rainforest walks. A tasty BBQ lunch and a traditional billy tea and damper at a 'Finch Hatton Hilton' private bush setting by a mountain stream.
- City Heritage Tour escorts you through Mackay's historical city sights as it has one of Qld's largest collection of art deco and Spanish style buildings, as well as The Reef marina for lunch and Pine Islet Lighthouse, Iluka Beach, Botanical Gardens and South Sea Island Hut.
- Journey north into Cape Hillsborough national park for bush, beach and aboriginal significance. Including aboriginal bush tucker trails, aboriginal legend and unique landscapes of Ball Bay, Halliday Bay, Cape Hillsborough Beach and Seaforth. Lunch is at 'Sticks and Stones' with 'Hill Billy Pete' and morning tea is at Old Station Tea House.
- Voyage into the fringes of the Hinterland on Nebo Heritage tour. Inclusive is viewing of unique pastoral country and a visit Mt Britton gold mining township site. You will also discovering Pioneer tracks of Queensland at the museum and murals with country hospitality.
- On our Retail Therapy Quencher you can casually browse or buy up a storm in some of Mackay's best stores including city small businesses, Sapphire Place as well as our major shopping centres such as Caneland Centre or Mount Pleasant.
- Sarina's Secrets is a journey to the south of Mackay encompassing one of the worlds largest bulk loading ports, Dalrymple Bay Coal Terminal lookout. Including morning or afternoon tea at Sea Eagles Resort then go via Campwin and Sarina Beaches to Sarina, a town built on industries like sugar cane, beef and rail. You also will visit a mini distillery.
- Hit The Mining Trail when you venture into the Bowen Basin to examine the coal mining, rail and township infrastructure of Australia's biggest export. Visiting a typical coal-mining town you sight first hand what has to be done to get to the black gold.
- The 'E I O' farming excursion takes you into the regions eco farming projects where you can learn about sugar cane and pat an alpaca. Then we head off to a world-renowned Brahman stud facility to understand how embryonic research is helping the cattle industry. This facility has a great set up for entertaining guests as well as private cattle sales.
